Service Technician For Apartment Community in Cheshire, CT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Employee’s duties shall be accomplished in consultation with his/her supervisor, and in some cases may require supervisor approval. Duties and responsibilities may be shared with other employees, and may include but are not limited to:
- Capable of handling maintenance tasks that require advanced skills and/or experience
- Regular property inspections including evaluation of vendor work
- Maintaining appropriate inventory for maintenance and repairs at the properties
- Ensuring work orders and preventative maintenance are performed appropriately
- Ensuring preventative maintenance is performed appropriately
- Ensuring vacant units are made-ready timely and appropriately
- Adherence to property financial guidelines and budgets
- Maintaining appropriate service contracts and suppliers for the properties
- Reviewing of invoices related to property maintenance
- Operating the assigned properties in accordance with state, federal and local laws
- Operating the assigned properties in a manner that is consistent with Company policy
- Operating the assigned properties in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- Maintaining regulatory compliance and preparing for compliance inspections
- Maintaining the properties in a condition that is clean, safe, and professional
- Positioning the properties to effectively attract and retain residents
- Maintaining professional communication with co-workers, vendors, and residents
- Maintaining files and documentation in conformance with Company policy
- Responding to emergencies, incidents, or after-hour needs at the properties
- Any other duties consistent with efficient and effective property operations
- Seeking opportunities for improvement and professional development
