Team Simon Konover Raises Over $130,000 in 2014 Camp Challenge

The Simon Konover Company (TSKC) and its Team Simon Konover raised over $130,000 in the 2014 Camp Challenge Ride & Bandit 5K campaign to benefit The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

The Camp Challenge Ride & Bandit 5K is an annual charity cycling and walking event held each fall to benefit the camp. Raising over $130,000, Team Simon Konover was the highest producing team in the 2014 event. Since its inception in 2009, Team Simon Konover has raised a cumulative total of over $615,000 through the Camp Challenge Ride.

“From the very beginning, The Simon Konover Company has considered itself a steward of The Hole in Wall Gang Camp,” said James Wakim, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Simon Konover Company. “We are so grateful to our strategic partners, colleagues, associates, and friends who joined Team Simon Konover in our commitment to Camp, the children and their families.”

Team Simon Konover is comprised of company employees and business associates who support and participate in the Camp Challenge Ride and Bandit 5K. Over 175 individuals and organizations joined Team Simon Konover for this year’s campaign. Team Simon Konover Strategic Partners, contributing $5,000 or more, include Ameriscape, LLC, CohnReznick LLP, Haynes Construction Company, Outlook Development Group, LLC, People’s United Bank, Mr. Rooter, Shipman & Goodwin LLP, Smith Brothers Insurance, Inc., and Titan Energy New England.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the longstanding friendship of The Simon Konover Company, which allows The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp to continue to grow and serve an increasing number of seriously ill children,” said James Canton, CEO of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. “Their ability to rally their executives, employees and strategic partners around our mission to fundraise as a Team is remarkable and shines a light on their outstanding commitment to Camp.”

TSKC’s involvement with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp began in 1987 when Simon Konover donated the company’s construction management services as he constructed the original Camp facilities. Since that time, TSKC, as well as the Konover and Coppa families, have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the Camp as an active sponsor of the Camp’s Annual Fandango Benefit Gala, the Space & Aviation Day, as well as the Camp Challenge Ride. In addition, Jane Konover Coppa is a member of the Camp’s Council of Advisors.
